Hi!! I'M BROOKE, THE DREAMER AND BELIEVER BEHIND THIS LITTLE PRIVATE PRACTICE.
I'M A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR AND BOARD CERTIFIED ART THERAPIST IN PENNSYLVANIA.
Currently, my practice includes myself and one other
therapist/provider (see below) however a lot of this beautiful
business I am navigating solo. So along with being a therapist, I
am also the secretary, intake coordinator, the financial/billing
team, Human Resources, and the marketing department.. All The
Things! It seems only fair that you know a bit about me if you
are to decide to embark on a healing journey with me as your
co-captain.
BE HERE WELLNESS & COUNSELING BECAME A DREAM AFTER I BEGAN MY
OWN HEALING JOURNEY FROM TRAUMATIC GRIEF AND LOSS.
Turns out grief is more than just tissues and tears and the color
black. It's also more than words could describe. I have had many
experiences personally with the traditional talk therapy, and I
do believe connection is crucial in validating the human
experience. Yet in my experience with traumatic loss, there was
no comfort in the "traditional". My journey lead me towards
"non-traditional" practices and focused on whole body
wellness. When my pain and suffering was too heavy for me
to carry, and seemingly too heavy for most to approach
empathically, I sought out practices that healed from the inside
out. Art, Yoga, Reiki, Astrology, more yoga, more art,
Meditation, Nutrition, more yoga, more Reiki... I built (and
continue to build) the absolute best relationship with myself -
mind, body, and spirit. We may not control what breaks us - and
we can control our recovery and how we choose to begin again.

ASHLY IS A LICENSED SOCIAL WORKER IN PENNSYLVANIA.
Ashly began working at Be Here Wellness & Counseling as a part-time therapist in Summer of 2023. I have been so fortunate to have Ashly join me and cannot say enough about her ability to genuinely connect and provide amazing services to clients at Be Here Wellness & Counseling. Ashly is currently collecting required supervised hours towards her Clinical License, which she will hopefully obtain soon!
Ashly has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families since 2016 in various settings across the US and in her home country of Canada. Ashly utilizes a trauma-informed approach to her work with clients and has a strong theoretical base in Reality Therapy to assist client's with solution-focused treatment. Ashly thrives in her work with individuals who have experienced trauma and helping to restore trust with individuals who may have had negative experiences with helping professionals.
